Computer System Development

• Implemented 300+ full-life-cycle business computer systems in upstate New York.  Systems include LANs, WANs, broadbands.  Remotes to Notes.  Provide clients with full in-house control.


• Conducted development & Beta testing for Lotus Development Data Base Division (Approach/Notes front-ends).


• Developed, programmed and sold 100+ different small business sales/invoicing/billing programs for Windows environment.  Applications include auto repair, body shops, funeral homes, bus companies, bowling alleys, construction & contracting, security and real estate businesses.  Utilized Notes, Approach, Access, Visual BASIC, networking QA, DBase, and FoxPro tools.


• Operated 24 hour, seven day/week computer system support services for business owners.  Provided unlimited ar commercial software programs Windows system support for customers for seven years.  Utilized direct-connect modem tools to solve problems beyond simple end-user fixes.


• Developed "Ready-To-Race" Windows installation platform to greatly enhance performance, user-friendliness, maintenance and support functions of this evolving environment.


• Designed programmed and implemented computer applications on PC system for medium-size manufacturing company to provide detailed management reports and summaries on production efficiency, sales levels, inventory control, purchasing, shipping and personnel data in California during the 1980's.


• Converted the mainframe data base of the Riverside County (California) Tax Department for use on networking PC microcomputer systems.  Sold the system to private real estate firms in 1980's.


• Used desktop publishing and graphics programs to develop bi-weekly newspaper with advertising for Venice, CA in 1980's.


• Developed 200+ detailed business applications programs for personal computers using Q&A, Lotus 123, DBase, Symphony, Framework, Smart System, Word Perfect, and other popular commercial software programs in 1980's.

Sales, Marketing and Management

• Sold and support 400+ business computer systems in rural upstate New York.


• Managed photographic equipment sales, customer service and support for startup of 75 independent color photo labs nationwide as part of joint venture between U.S. and Japanese firms. Net sales exceeded $3 million in first two years.


• Worked as Manufacturer's Rep for Ilford, Bogen, Tenba, Berg Chemistry and others covering New York State territory.


• Served as senior officer of six different military organizations of 100+ personnel in Artillery, Infantry and Special Forces branch assignments.

Training and Teaching

• Designed and instructed 100+ courses in Basic Computing, Windows, Business Software, Desktop Publishing, Networking and Communications for business owners at training center in upstate New York.


• Designed, marketed, and conducted re-training programs for displaced IBM employees to become PC Proficient and advanced programs for PC Professionals.


• Taught Structured BASIC programming and Business Software in Community College environment.


• Instructed Lotus, WordPerfect and Ventura Publisher 'crash courses' for business training firms in Los Angeles.


• Planned, organized and conducted photography training seminars for public relations professionals in Houston, TX and independent photo lab owners nationwide.


• Conducted 50+ sales training seminars for Ilford Photographic in New York State.


• Instructed basic and color photography courses at Syracuse University for two years. Lectured graduate photography programs at Rochester Institute of Technology and basic photography at Ventura College.


• Trained 4,000+ military personnel in technical, tactical and strategic subjects, including Special Forces teams, Ranger companies, Infantry brigades, ROTC/OCS candidates and West Point Cadets. Received numerous awards and commendations for training excellence.
